United are poised to complete a deal for the Real Madrid striker, but Jose Mourinho wants to sign two forwards this summer, and Lukaku is a major target.

However, the Belgium international still holds a grudge against Mourinho after he was sold by the Portuguese when he was Chelsea manager, and that bad blood must be resolved first.

LIVERPOOL BLOCK STURRIDGE EXIT

Daniel Sturridge won’t be allowed to leave Liverpool this summer because of how much it will cost to sign a replacement striker, according to the Sunday Mirror .

Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham have been linked with Sturridge, but only a huge offer will persuade manager Jurgen Klopp to sell the England international.

COSTA SET FOR ATLETICO REUNION

Atletico Madrid are poised to re-sign Diego Costa from Chelsea, but he won't be able to play until January, report the Daily Mail .

Atleti cannot register any new players until January 2 due to a transfer ban, but Diego Simeone is desperate to lure Costa back to Spain, and is keen to strike a deal this summer.

Previous reports suggested Costa could leave the club on loan after signing, but he will instead train with Atleti until he can make his comeback.

BELLERIN WANTS BARCA MOVE

Hector Bellerin will meet with officials at Arsenal to inform them of his desire to join Barcelona,  Marca  reports.

Barca have long been trying to lure the right-back back to Camp Nou, but the long-term contract he recently signed with the Gunners presents a problem for the Catalan side. The 22-year-old has already spoken to the Catalan side and will now try to force a move.

Wayne Rooney wants £30 million to leave Manchester United, according to The Sun .

The 31-year-old has one year left on his £300,000-per-week contract but has the option to trigger a 12-month extension.
